Every angler's goal is to catch a Grander; that magic fish over 1000lbs. Cairns offers more chance of catching a 1000lb fish than any other fishery in the world! Period.
On “Mistress” we have actually caught 2 Granders in one single day, not once, but twice. In 2011, we tagged/released 3 estimated Granders, one of them just too big to call, one of those fish that holds you in awe when you see its size and beauty.

Blue Marlin Too
January to August - “Mistress” fishes for Blue Marlin from her base on the Gold Coast. Blue Marlin averaging 300 to 500lb are quite prolific in this area. On our best day we released 11 by 3:30pm.
"Mistress” averages one Blue Marlin per day when fishing off the Gold Coast, quite an impressive capture rate when compared to other Blue Marlin fisheries around the world.

“Mistress” is equipped with three fixed cameras which are recording all day to three HD Digital Video Recorders.
At the end of each trip our guests have a DVD with everlasting memories of their experience.
